Northern Ireland Taiho Jutsu Dojo
Taiho Jutsu is a martial art which was developed in Japan for law enforcement purposes. It was brought to Great Britain where it was also used by British police for a number of years. It has a wide remit and covers both standing and ground defences. The syllabus covers strikes, kicks and locks by both single and multiple attackers. In the higher grades, defences against armed attacks are also introduced. The Northern Ireland dojo was formed in 1997 and is situated at Doagh, outside Ballyclare, Co Antrim. The club is open to members aged 16 and above.
